PRICES

  • New Patient Appointments $300

    New patient appointments are inclusive of GST and payable in advance.

    Includes initial Specialist Consultation, prescription, letter to GP, and 1 email support within 1 week of appointment.

    Appointments can be in-person at our clinic in Mount Maunganui or online via video consultation for patients throughout New Zealand.

  • Follow Up Appointments $160

    Follow up appointments are inclusive of GST and payable in advance.

    Follow up appointments are up to 25 minutes, for existing Menopause Care NZ patients only.

    Includes specialist consultation with prescription, GP letter and 1 email advice within 1 week of appointment.

    Follow up appointments are all conducted via video consultation, for patients throughout New Zealand.

  • Blood Tests

    We can arrange blood tests for you to have conducted at a lab near you.

    The interpretation of the results and onward managEment require an appointment.

  • DEXA & Ultrasound Scans

    These investigations can be arranged for you privately. If outside of your appointment this will cost $30 to request these investigations. This does not include the cost of the scans, interpretation of the results or onward management.

  • Prescriptions $30

    Private prescriptions can be requested outside of a consultation for pre-existing Menopause Care NZ patients only. The prescription cost does not include the cost of medication.

    Please note there is a $15 per item charge by the pharmacist as per Ministry of Health for private clinics.

    Please contact us via email to request a prescription BEFORE paying for the prescription to ensure the prescription will be generated. The cost is non-refundable once paid, as it covers the doctors’ time to go through your notes and generate the prescription.

  • Email Support

    1 email is included in the price of a consultation to be used within 1 week of an appointment.

    If you have brief questions outside of 1 week from your last consultation, these can be asked via email, but you may be asked to make a follow up appointment if the reply is lengthy or complex.

    Email advice would not be suitable to replace a review consultation. If it has been 12 months since your last appointment, you will need to book a New Patient Appointment.

  • Cancellation Policy

    We have a 3 working day (72 business hours) cancellation and rearrangement policy.

    If you cancel with less than 3 working days (72 business hours) notice of your appointment 100% of the fee is payable, with no refund, regardless of reason. This is because there is not enough time to fill your appointment.

    If you rearrange your appointment less than 3 working days (72 business hours) there is a $100 fee in addtion to the consultation fee.

    If you cancel with more than 72 hours notice of your appointment then you can rearrange your appointment to another time/date or can get a full refund minus $10 admin fee.

    Please contact us via email to cancel or rearrange your appointment and to request a refund if eligible. Refunds take 7-10 days to process via Stripe back to your card.

  • Private Letter or Referral: $30

    Private letters or referrals can be requested by existing patients only and must be in relation to a concern that has already been reviewed by Menopause Care NZ.
